I am a first time owner living in a 4 room flat. I am looking for a quiet dog that is happy with short walks.

We adopted a Shih Tzu last year. She is quiet, only needs short walks and is perfect for HDB living.

Pet adoption in Singapore

What is KibblePaw?

KibblePaw is a free pet adoption app for Singapore, available on iOS and Android. It connects people rehoming a pet, shelters and rescues with adopters, so they can browse cats, dogs, rabbits and other small pets, chat in the app and arrange a meet-and-greet. It also supports lost-pet reports and keeps each pet's care records in Kibble Passport.

Common adoption questions

How do I adopt a pet in Singapore on KibblePaw?

Download the free KibblePaw app, browse pets for adoption, and message the owner, rescuer or shelter in the app. Arrange a meet-and-greet before deciding, then complete the paperwork together, including transferring the AVS licence, medical records and microchip registration to the adopter.

Is adopting a pet on KibblePaw free?

Yes. Browsing listings and messaging rehomers on KibblePaw is free. However, some rehomers or shelters may ask for an adoption fee to cover vaccination, sterilisation and microchipping costs, so confirm any fee with them before you meet.

How many cats and dogs can I keep in an HDB flat?

According to the Animal & Veterinary Service, up to two cats and one dog of an approved breed can be kept in an HDB flat. Pet cats and dogs must be licensed and microchipped with AVS, and the two-year transition period for licensing pet cats ended on 31 August 2026.
